For over 119 years, the Bach Elgar Choir has brought the beauty and joy of masterworks to Hamilton and the surrounding areas. Our performances have become some of the most cherished musical events in the region, and your support has made this possible.
However, the costs of producing large-scale choral works go beyond ticket sales. That’s why we’re excited to launch our 2nd annual NoteWorthy Campaign, running from September 23rd to October 23rd.
Looking ahead, our next major event is Alexander’s Feast, Handel’s incredible oratorio that celebrates the transformative power of music. Remarkably, Handel composed the entire work in just 12 days in 1736, premiering it shortly after at Covent Garden Theatre in London on February 19th.
Help us “compose” Alexander’s Feast by sponsoring a movement in this masterpiece. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in 30 days to bring this and other masterworks to life.

How It Works
Donate to Compose: Contribute to the composition of Alexander’s Feast by donating towards a movement. The higher you donation, the more of the oratorio you compose. We’ll include a list of all donations to each movement in the performance program. A tax receipt will be provided for donations made to the Campaign.
Support the Performing Arts: Your contribution supports the BEC in bringing Alexander’s Feast and other great masterworks to our community this concert season and beyond.
Why Your Support Matters: Ticket sales alone do not always cover the costs of large-scale performances. Your participation not only supports the BEC, but it also helps deepen our community’s appreciation for the arts.
