NoteWorthy Campaign

For over 120 years, the Bach Elgar Choir has brought the beauty and joy of choral music to Hamilton. Our performances are some of the most accomplished and exciting musical events in the region, and your support has made this possible.

The Bach Elgar Choir needs donors who value community arts and who cherish Hamilton and its proud institutions. This is your chance to contribute to our vision of great music in a great city. From October 9^th to November 9^th, the Bach Elgar Choir is welcoming donations as part of our annual NoteWorthy Campaign.

Our next major concert features Henry Purcell’s “Hail! Bright Cecilia”, the first great choral-orchestral work in the English language, as well as Charpentier’s magnificent Te Deum and Howells’ A Hymn for St. Cecilia. Now, you can help us “compose” the music on our program by sponsoring a piece or a movement. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in thirty days to bring this wonderful music to life. Your support can make it happen.

When you sponsor a work you will receive recognition in our program in addition to a tax receipt and together we will create a beautiful concert: “Made up of various Parts one perfect Harmony”, in the words of Purcell’s librettist, Nicholas Brady. Please give generously and help us send our harmonies to the heavens.
